Terms of Service
Last updated 2 September 2026
These terms govern use of Orange Fee by an institution and its staff. By signing in to an Orange Fee account, an institution agrees to them.
What Orange Fee provides
Orange Fee is fee-management software for schools and educational institutions: recording charges, tracking payments, and sending reminders and receipts to guardians over WhatsApp. Orange Fee is currently offered on a pilot basis to a limited number of institutions, and functionality may change as it develops.
Your account
An institution's staff accounts are created for them, not self-registered. The institution is responsible for who it grants a login to, and for keeping those logins reasonably secure. Orange Fee should be used only for genuine fee-related communication with an institution's own students' guardians — never for unrelated messaging or anything that would violate WhatsApp's own Business Messaging Policy.
Your data, your responsibility
An institution is responsible for the accuracy of the student, guardian, and payment information it enters, and for having a lawful basis to collect and process that information under applicable law. Orange Fee is not responsible for decisions made based on data an institution itself entered incorrectly.
Fees for the service
Billing terms for using Orange Fee itself are agreed directly with your institution and are not published here while the product is in its pilot stage.
Availability
Orange Fee is provided on a best-effort basis. While we work to keep it reliable, we do not currently guarantee a specific uptime commitment, and functionality — including WhatsApp-based sending, which depends on Meta's own platform — may occasionally be unavailable for reasons outside our control.
Ending the arrangement
Either an institution or Orange Fee may end the arrangement at any time. On request, an institution's data will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
Orange Fee is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, Orange Fee is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a meaningful way, the "last updated" date above will change with them.
